About

This is me

I'm a self-taught chef. A lot of my recipes were passed down from my mum, and she got them from her mum. I guess I owe it all to my mum and the women who have come into my life.

Suguna Sithamparanathan, who passed away this year, taught me how to cook South Indian food so well. She didn't have recipes written down because she cooked with love, and you just had to watch and learn. Like the good old days.

Then came another foodie in my life, my birthday twin, Nirmala Dave. She's known as Lincoln Nani, a mother to so many Asian ladies. Her and my mum are my first go-tos when I want a recipe. They explain it to perfection, almost like watching a YouTube video.

This Supper Club will have many recipes from Hasumati (my mum), Suguna (an inspirational woman) and Niru aunty (as most know her, but mummy to me). One day my dear Lilliana will say that her mummy passed down these recipes to her. Educating the next generation.

This is me. This is where the inspiration comes from. My go-to people.
