Mikshita's food for home

Kitchen 48

Kitchen 48 is my food business. It's home cooking done my way: recipes passed down from my mum and the women in my family and community, with my own gastro fusion twist. I cook for a brilliant bunch of regulars in and around Lincoln, and there's always room for a few more.

It's not a traditional Indian takeaway, and it's not just one cuisine. I'm always inventing new dishes, so the menus change all the time.

What makes it different

I don't use one sauce across a whole menu. Each dish is cooked on its own terms, so the flavours get the time they need.

  • Spices roasted fresh

I roast my own. It's the starting point, not an afterthought.

  • A sauce for every dish

Made for that dish. Never one pre-made base.

  • Fresh, good quality produce

Picked with care and cooked properly.

  • Always something new

I'm forever experimenting, so the menus keep changing.

How to order

When a new menu opens, you can order and pay right here on the website, then collect at the time shown. Each dish is made in small batches, so it's first come, first served.

I also share menus in the Kitchen 48 WhatsApp community. Placeholder: [To be confirmed: how to join the community, and the collection address]
